This guitarist is very talented and this is an introduction to this piece. Going deeper into the musicality of the piece, one big thing is missing. This is actually originally for two guitars. I have had conversations with very esteemed guitarists that conclude the same thing. The bass notes need to come slightly before the lyrical notes. This helps to distinguish that there is a background melody and a lyrical melody, two seperate things that should be distinct. Listen to John Williams playing this and it is only obvious when you listen for it, but it brings a depth to the music. He actually demonstrates this at 3:35 in an extreme example, but that is what I am getting at. This piece is relatively easy to play but hard to master. Mastering it requires this attention to musicality.

In music one is not “allowed”to play as he or she desires until he or she becomes a master. Then you don’t play it “wrong” anymore.

It is not “Scottish”, the correct word is “schottish”. The pronouncing of the first four letters s, c, h and o is similar to a “she” , replacing e by o. It comes from the Brazilian word “Xote”. 😊

here are my feelings, im not an afficionate of classical music, but i found this partita and i fall in love with it, i decited to learn it in guitar, then i found this tutorial and i learned all in one day, i was looking for the second part but i didnt find it, and i cant belive it i hope im wrong but i think there is not another part, im so sad.
